Task 2: Surreal Images

ideas and research.

deciding to focus on the surrealism artist, salvador dali I thought it would have been a good idea to research in depth about him and his work as a whole.

The persistance of memory

"This is one of my favourite images by Salvador Dali. Painted in 1931, this work is a major work in the Surrealist style, with its distortion of reality. The melted watches seem to be images out of a nightmare. "

Task 3: Student choice of Genre

I thought it would have been more easier to start the assignment, by doing task 3 first. This task was more like a warm-up session to get motivated, and a positive feeling of photography to take to another level. By doing this I done alot of research into the genre im most interested in which is 'fashion and beauty' photography. I looked at many photographers that specialised in that particular genre, they were stephen eastwood, Andres Hernandez, Trevor Brady and lots more.

I also browsed and reblogged pictures from my tumbrl website for ideas. Below is the url for my tumbrl website:

Below are images of my own photography that I have taken at South bank, Waterloo in the skateboard underpath. I thought this would be a interesting set to take photograpghs and explore the art of graffti set that gives a huge effect on the photo's.

Overall, I managed my time quite well as my planning was done precisely and had time to get my models together, with a date and time. However, if I was to do this task again I would use a canon D500, and another way to back up my images, as the picture got deleted so i did not manage to note the details of each image. I believe that this photoshoot was extremely successful and has been well thought about, but also a new modern way to look at 90's fashion.
